EVERYTHING AND NOTHING

I didn’t mean to love you
But you stroked my heart and made it purr
I try to recapture what was on my mind, my dear
But that time is just a blur
Animalistic instincts drove us
And our creatures did stir
And though I sank my fangs into your flesh
All I could think of was her

And there was everything and nothing in my head

I didn’t mean to hurt you
But my love feels like a spur
And if I captured the throne of God my dear
I’d put you back to the way that you were
But there was no way for me to know
Of the things that would occur
And though I drove a stake into your heart
All I could think of was her

And there was everything and nothing in my head

We fed from each other’s souls
To fill our God-shaped holes
